Good afternoon!
I hope everyone is having a healthy and productive..wait a minute, be right back.
Ok, sorry about that. Had to check my email.
Like I was saying, I hope everyone is having a...hold on again, sorry.
Ok, I'm back. A news article popped up on my phone that I needed to check out real quick.
LIKE I WAS SAYING...I hope everyone is having a healthy and productive week.
Whew, I knew I would get there!
Ok, but all kidding aside.
As I'm sure most of you have picked up on, I'm trying to highlight how fragmented our focus has become as a society because of the constant stimulation that we're bombarded with the second we wake up in the morning.
I mean, how many of us (myself included) check their phone immediately upon waking?
We have constant notifications popping up on all our devices.
There are near endless TV channels and streaming services.
Videos games, social media, news feeds, etc. etc.
It's turned us into a society that has lost patience and focus.
We have to be entertained at all times with things that require very short bursts of focus and attention.
So, I for one, am going to start raging against the machine(s).
(literally, ha!)
Last week, I brought up the subtle difference between a resolution and a goal.
So this week I wanted to give you an example of the goal-setting process I have adopted.
I want to gain better focus in 2025, and the best way to do that is with a SMART goal.
Below are two links. The first is a template for a SMART goal for you to take and use as you see fit.
The second is my SMART goal that I will be working towards in order to improve my focus as an example of one of my goals for the year.
I hope this helps!
